Held November 26 through December 1 in Chicago, the RSNA annual meeting is the world’s largest medical meeting, hosting over 60,000 attendees from around the world.

Image Sharing Demonstration – HxTI’s Philadelphia Health Information Exchange, the nation’s first network for sharing diagnostic imaging between rival healthcare providers, will be on display as the first regional network to implement Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise’s (IHE’s) standards-based plug-and-play approach to sharing imaging data between enterprises. The demonstration highlights the functionality of HxTI’s iHistory® platform for health information exchange and the unique collaboration between historical rivals, the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals (All week, IHE Pavilion, Lakeside Learning Center, Hall D)

Scientific Presentation – HxTI founder and CEO, Dr. Elliot Menschik, will deliver a talk entitled “Do You Know Where Your Patient Was Imaged Last?” Dr. Menschik will present the first findings on the extent to which patients move between competing imaging facilities, scattering relevant clinical data out of reach across multiple sites and causing duplicative imaging utilization. Continuing Medical Education (CME) – Dr. Menschik has also been selected to lecture on the benefits of regional imaging exchanges for practicing radiologists. This CME class will focus will be on imaging exchange as a competitive differentiator, safety and quality enhancer, and driver of revenue for radiology practices. Education Exhibit - Hx Technologies has been selected by RSNA to display an educational exhibit entitled ”Open Standards for Radiology RHIOs: IHE XDS-I and the Philadelphia Health Information Exchange”.
