Elliot Menschik, MD PhD

Dr. Menschik founded and has led HxTI since August 2000. On the commercial side of the Company, his role encompasses strategy, sales, marketing and business development leveraging an extensive network of payer, provider and healthcare IT relationships. On the R&D side of the Company, he is the chief architect of the Company’s technology platform, the lead author/inventor of the Company’s patents and patents pending, and has served as the principal investigator on several grants to HxTI from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Menschik is a recognized leader in imaging informatics and health information exchange and is frequently invited to speak at conferences and author scholarly and trade publications. He will serve as faculty at the 2008 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), currently sits on the IT Infrastructure and Radiology planning committees of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) International and has served as a member of the SSS-U study section at the NIH Center for Scientific Review.

Prior to launching HxTI, Dr. Menschik was on the faculty of the Bioengineering department at the University of Pennsylvania.  An NIH Fellow in the Medical Scientist Training Program, he received his MD and PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  He received his joint Bachelors and Masters of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
